‘Porteño’ (or ‘Porteña’) means someone that has gone native to Buenos Aires. However this also refers to a style or engagement of dance or how a native of Buenos Aires would dance. This also refers to the modern version of Milonga which includes the idea of the Habanera Rhythm in 2/4 time that you’re used to hearing in a milonga.
