Resistance Based Dancing is the polar opposite of Intention Based Dancing. In the simplest of terms it means that a dancing invoking this idea will deliberately use their arms and hands to direct, paddle, pull, push, use pressure and force, arm and hand compression, and really strength to communicate their desires and responses.
Most people use this way of dancing to communicate quick, fast moves. There is tension in the arms and hands to direct strength into and feedback to their partner. Performance Based Tango uses this idea as a way to create specific lines and shapes in Tango.
Tango Topics and Miles Tangos DO NOT condone this way of dancing.
