‘Cortado’ means ‘cut’. On its own it usually refers to the Ocho Cortado, the ‘cut’ Ocho. The Linear Ocho Cortado is the vanilla version; the Circular Ocho Cortado is the one that actually looks like the literal translation of the word. Both are often taught missing a very important component: the Replacement Step.
