Musical time is tempo or speed at which a piece of music is played. This is represented by the beat, or the distance between one beat and the next. Typically that distance is always, always, always the same. It never changes except under 2 TECHNICAL conditions that have nothing to do with the recording or musical notes themselves. Ideally as a Lead (or Follow) we always want to keep track of the beat time in the music.
