These are a series of Livestream classes that were done in 2020, hence the dates above. The classes are an hour long each, and consist of 4 parts.
1.) Technique/Warm-up Exercise.
2.) Simple Tango Sentences.
3.) Practical Tango Advice/Ideas
4.) Tango Topics Vocabulary.
The sections are almost self explanatory…almost.
Technique/Warm-up. This is a series of warmups that I do when I’m working with an intensive student. It goes over foundational material as well as practical applications. “Get the technique right, and you can do this!”.
Simple Tango Sentences. These Sentences are based around the idea of the FIVE SOCIAL FIGURES and what would happen if you mixed and matched them together. While the exercise is meant as an exercise that more than likely will never be danced. That’s not the point of the exercise. It’s to create facility in the dancer so that they can freely flow between the 5 Social Figures and all of their permutations. There are a series of 10 more of these, that are even more extensive than anything else I’ve ever done. They are the next project. It’s been shot and is awaiting the time to edit them.
Practical Tango Advice/Ideas are reminders about things you should know about, but sometimes forget when you’re out social dancing. Think of these as all those things you don’t want to do, that you are doing that you teacher would remind you about but didn’t have the time to do so.
Tango Topics Vocabulary. This piece of vocabulary is plucked directly from the archive of my vast video technique library. I just show it here in a different light, and show how it can work on the dance floor, within the line of dance, and all the gotchas that may or may not have made it into the corresponding articles!
What’s above is just a 20 minute sample of the full hour long classes I gave online for my subscribers at the time.
