Solo Practice Workout Regime
This is a 15 minute explanation, and demonstration ,of a warm up that I like to give my students in workshops and classes that have never studied with me before. It forces awareness of the foundation on forward, side, back steps. It also forces awareness and skill building about forward, back and rotating crosses (not shown in video – level 2). As well as creating some clarity around the importance of Opposition, and keeping contact with the floor at all times.
It engages a NULL upwards embrace (see video). One of the primary goals is to force constant contact with the floor, as well as the importance of collection, and remembering to point your feet. All good things to focus on and remember.
