Close Embrace Molinete. This is a Molinete done in ‘Close Embrace’ format. There are a few differences of a Close Embrace Molinete versus its Open Embrace cousin. The first and probably the most obvious one is that there is a lot less space to function with. Secondly, we need to allow the partnership to ‘float’ within the embrace or to move. There is a strong desire for both partners (if they have not been properly trained) to use compression (with their arms, the embrace) to hold on to one another tighter because of the closeness of the turn and the embrace. Thirdly, there are some issues that crop up for Followers as well as L/leads that need to be addressed. These issues are well documented in the Close Embrace Molinete video, as well as several Practice Tango Advice videos.
