Found a version of this on Stef Salsa Tango Swing‘s wall. I think she’s right about the topic. Specifically >
— The leading person in the outer track (1) should NOT intrude into the inner lane (2).
Stef said > “When dancing in the inner lane, I notice at every single Milonga many times that the inner lane dancers are bumped into by outer lane dancers, or have to make rescue movements to avoid collisions by outer lane dancers intruding inside.”
She’s not wrong, I’ve seen the same things.
Originally she was asking about a modification to the image that depicted this idea. The original image shows how the ronda should be respected by the inner lane dancer. But it doesn’t, and she’s right IMO, it shows the reverse. Which is to say > it should also show the outer track not intruding into the inner track(s).
If you’ve seen this image before, the main difference is in the lower right, the couple dancing in yellow. I modified the image to make it very clear what she was on about. I also added a few more couples where I thought it needed to be filled in a bit.
The original image is the first comment.
Credit goes to the creator on this one. I have no idea who it is. IF you know, please tell me who it is so I can properly attribute this to them. It’s their work and they should be credited properly. All I did was augment for clarity on the topic.
