PartyCa Berlin Seed Group
an expansive tango community in germany - the faq
What is ‘PartyCa’ Berlin ? It is a way to grow the tango community in Germany, and Europe as a whole. This is so much a practice and a methodology that uses a tried and true method to bring people in and keep them coming in on a regular basis. So that there is always growth and new people coming to the form, thereby spreading the love that is Tango. Let me be clear, this idea is not mine but in fact it comes by way of Daniele Donzello from Warsaw and his PartyKa group that regularly has 200 ppl at his events. Regular weekly classes that are full and brimming with new, young people.
What is the Plan or How are we going to build PartyKa Berlin ? The First step in this process is to build out a seed group of committed dancers! This group will need to be trained to teach using the Intention Based Dancing Model and Methodology. This will take a few months. While that’s happening a suitable space will be found for teaching and hosting classes and PartyKas. With the primary goal to slowly integrate the group of teachers that were just trained into teaching their own classes for the project while also helping out with those classes. Next once a space is found for classes and PartyCas (practica party) we’ll start hosting our own events. At first once a week for just the students. And then as time goes by an integration back into the community. All the while while this is happening, marketing, management, social media, and outreach is happening to bring people into the dance.
The Primary Goal is to remove the barriers for entry to learn tango, to teach tango, and to dance tango.
How much does it cost ? 50€ per 2-hour session (that’s 25€/hour). Schedule: 2x per week for 4 months (32 sessions), or 3x per week for 3 months (33 sessions).Flexible start: you choose the days and times.
Why so affordable? Because this isn’t about profit — it’s about accessibility. In exchange for the reduced rate, you’ll also contribute to the project in areas like marketing, social media, outreach, or organizing.
When does it start ? Right after you finish reading this. You pick the days and times and we go from there.
Language ? Seed classes taught in English and bits of German.
Who is this for ? You. If you’ve been dancing a while, or someone that’s just started. This stuff is ideal for both the beginner and advancing dancer because you will both learn exactly the same things! You will redefine your foundation, and build it, change it, and make it well defined so that you can clearly communicate that to others!
What do you get ? 1-on-1 time with Miles Tangos for 33 sessions. Plus active development of reviewing your dances at local Milongas. Plus access to TangoTopics.com (this website) and over 900 videos, and 1200 articles on a wide range of topics that can supplement your tango education. When you complete all 4 levels of the intensive process you will be a certified Intensive Tango Teacher.
Why Miles ? I’ve been teaching tango for 18 years. I have the knowledge, the methods, and the will to share them. What I need is a team of dedicated dancers willing to help me build something that lasts. This isn’t about money. This is about leaving tango better than I found it. Do you want to help ?
