Alternate Walk. Most certainly this toy has a use! And it’s not exactly flashy! Put simply, the Alternate Walk is all about using the same foot to step forward in a series of different ‘open’ spots, and then continuing to do this over and over again. Why ? Simple. Again, the Follower is going to mishear things, and when that happens, it just makes good practical sense to have the ability, the facility really, to be able to manage those things. The Alternate Walking Tool does that in spades. Think of this way of walking as not only a ‘What happens in the case of…” scenario, but more like one step to change walking systems tool. This tool comes in handy so many places that it’s more like when is it NOT in use!
Why do we learn Parallel or Cross System or Any of these ? The simplest answer is because it offers us options and opportunities to engage in other ways of moving that other walking systems would restrict us. Think of these 3 remaining variants as a situation if the Follower goes somewhere unintended because they ‘felt’ X, and then went with X, you now have a solution for it, across all the possible mistakes. It’s one reason why we work on the facility of walking systems!
